Hamilton Township

Holdups: Township police are investigat­ing a pair of armed heists just four days apart. The first one happened March 13, at the 7-Eleven on the 2200 block of South Broad Street. The same suspect, a Hispanic man standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall and wearing a white long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, gloves, a facemask, and a New York baseball cap, is believed to have hit another 7-Eleven Saturday night around 8 p.m. Cops responded to the convenienc­e store on the 500 block of Lalor Street. The suspect brandished a silver semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at the clerks while demanding cash. The disguised man made off with an undisclose­d amount of cash,

fleeing on foot toward Deutz Avenue. He possibly got into a dark-colored sedan. Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifyin­g the suspected robber. Drug Pop: Shawn Bazemore, 56, was arrested and charged after cops rolled up on him in the area of Walnut Avenue and Chambers Street. Cops suspected Bazemore and another man were involved in a drug deal. Cops approached the men and Bazemore attempted to take off. He gave up pretty quickly. He claimed he was just “taking a hit”; he was arrested and found with two knives. The second suspect, Daniel Santos-Ojeda, 37, was arrested and charged with obstructin­g the administra­tion of law.

Popped With Knives: Jose Molina-Ramirez, 41, was nabbed by cops patrolling Anderson Street and Edgemere Avenue. Cops saw MolinaRami­rez driving without his lights on. When he was pulled over cops saw a 12-inch knife in plain view. He was asked about it and said it was for him to use to defend himself. He was taken into custody on weapons possession and cited for being unlicensed and driving without headlights. Pot Bust: Nyzir Miller, 18, and Amir Crawford, 19, were nabbed by street crime detectives who stopped them after seeing a motor vehicle violation. Both occupants were removed from the car once cops smelled pot. They confiscate­d 37 grams and $120 in cash, seized as suspected illegal proceeds.

Allah Hightower, 35, was arrested on a warrant stemming from a Feb. 24 robbery. It happened at the Exxon gas station on the 800 block of North Olden Avenue. Hightower is accused of using a handgun to lift a brown wallet from the victim, who was left unharmed. Outfoxed: Rashawn Fox, 35, was arrested on a September 2018 warrant for a domestic violence. He argued with the victim over relationsh­ip issues. Fox hit the woman in the nose. She was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center. And Fox was picked up over the weekend on the warrant.

Sucker Puncher: Emmanuel Murry, 37, was arrested on a warrant after a victim told cops that he was working at La Guira bar when Murry suddenly sucker punched him in the face. The victim was treated at the hospital for a fractured jaw. Murry was charged with aggravated assault.

Sex Assault: Richard Lake, 66, was charged with multiple sex assault charges, reported to police March 15. The 16-year-old victim told cops she was sexually assaulted three years ago by Lake. Cops didn’t immediatel­y have additional informatio­n. Unhinged Man: Jose Rivera, 45, was arrested after a victim told cops he asked about drugs, they argued and he picked up a pick ax and started chasing the victim. Cops were driving by when they saw the crazy scene and intervened. The victim was unharmed. Rivera was charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses. Drug Busts: Cops made a bunch of arrests after a couple of drug operations. Among those arrested was Brenda Green, 53, who was nabbed as part of a narcotics sweep on the 400 block of Hamilton Avenue. Cody Jerome, 62, and Alva Rush and Alexander Cid were also arrested. Detectives seized nearly $6,000 in cash, and seized a couple of glassine packets of suspected heroin.
