Pauline Sadowski Denko
With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother,
Great Grandmother, Aunt and friend, Pauline Sadowski Denko. She Fell asleep in the Lord, on Monday March 18th, at her son’s home in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
She was born in Trenton, NJ on Oct. 12, 1919 to Damien and Eva Sadowski. She was preceded in death by her husband John Sr., her Mother and Father, her brother Michael Sadowski, her sister Katherine Sadowski and her sister Olga Pipino. She spent her life dedicated to her family and Church teaching Sunday School, singing and directing the choir. Her working career was that of an office manager for an architectual firm and as a legal secretary. She was also a member of the Holy Assumption Rosary Society
She will be greatly missed by her children son John Denko Jr and wife Shirley, her daughter Tatiana Carroll and husband Robert, her son Paul Denko and wife Patricia, her grandchildren Mark Denko, Katherine Denko, Diana Carroll, Patricia Frith, Dr. Matthew Carroll, Natalie Denko and Austin Denko, and great grandchildren Simone Carroll,Devin Carroll, Oliver Carroll and Damian Denko.
She was a lifetime member of St. Vladimir Orthodox Church in Trenton. Pauline was also a member of St. Elias Greek Orthodox Church and Holy Trinity Antiochian Orthodox Church, both of Santa Fe.
Calling hours will be held in St. Vladimir Orthodox Church, corner of Grand and Stanton Streets, South Trenton, Friday evening March 22nd from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with Panikhida service at 7:00pm, and calling hours again Saturday morning, March 23rd from 9:30am to 11:00am, during the Memorial Divine Liturgy. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00am with Rev. Volodymyr Chaikivskyi and Very Rev. Paul Shafran, Pastor Emeritus co-officiating. Burial will be in St. Vladimir Church Cemetery, Hamilton Township under the direction of Winowicz Funeral Home, Trenton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Pauline’s memory are to be made to St. Vladimir Orthodox Church at 812 Grand Street, Trenton NJ 08610.
