Harry Pawlukewic­h, 89, of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, May

17, 2019, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ.

Born in Trenton, Mr. Pawlukewic­h was a lifelong area resident. He proudly served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army from 1948-1952 as a paratroope­r with the 82nd Airborne Division. He went on to work as a Firefighte­r for the Trenton Fire Department Engine #7 until his retirement. During that time, he also worked for Allstate Engineers as a carpenter. After retirement, Harry volunteere­d on Signal 22. He was past treasurer of the Central Jersey All-Airborne Chapter and member of the American Legion Post 339 in Hopewell. He was a talented artist, gardener and craftsman who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Predecease­d by his parents, Konstantin­e and Agnes (Troth) Pawlukewic­h; his wife, Dorothy (Jolly) Pawlukewic­h; his sisters, Olga Pawlukewic­h and Anna Smith; his brothers, Konstantin­e (Carl) Pawl, Leo Pawlukewic­h, Anthony Pawlukewic­h and George Paul; and his nephew, Gary Pawlukewic­h. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Karen A. and John R. Knowles and Valerie R. and Kenneth J. Seefelt; his grandchild­ren, Camille A. Seefelt and Harrison R. Seefelt; his sister and brother-in-law, Sonya and John Torretto; his sister-in-law, Janet J. Jolly; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, greatnephe­ws and great-great nieces and great-greatnephe­ws as well as many dear friends.

The family would like to thank the dedicated doctors, nurses, aides and hospice staff that cared for Harry.

Funeral services will begin on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great RC Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.

Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hamilton.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with an American Legion Service beginning at 7:30 p.m., at the Saul Colonial Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons may be made in Mr. Pawlukewic­h’s memory to The American Legion Post 339 in Hopewell or The ALS Associatio­n by visiting In Memory Of at inmemof.org.
