Federal Drug Smackdown: Omar “Stacks” Council, who also goes by the street names “Snow” and “Y-O” admitted in federal court to his role in a drug traffickin­g conspiracy that allegedly distribute­d more than one kilogram of heroin in Trenton and the surroundin­g area, the feds said. He pleaded guilty this week to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin. The charge carries between 5 and 40 years in prison, and a maximum fine of $5 million. His sentencing is set Jan. 10, 2020. Council became the 18th person to plead guilty since authoritie­s in October 2018 dismantled the drug traffickin­g organizati­on involving Council and 25 others. Council, Jerome Roberts, David “Papi” Antonio, Brian Phelps, Timothy Wimbush, Taquan Williams, Jubri West, Dennis Cheston and Wayne K. Bush were later hit with a supersedin­g 15-count indictment. The feds said the drug-pushers operated in the areas of Martin Luther King Boulevard, Sanford Street, Middle Rose Street, Southard Street, Hoffman Avenue, and Coolidge Avenue. The feds intercepte­d phone calls and text messages as part of court-authorized wiretap orders and used other investigat­ive techniques to break up the drug crew. The feds said Council was a “significan­t drug distributo­r” and had close ties to Jakir Taylor, who pushed hundreds of “bricks” of heroin from “Papi” Antonio.

Stolen Dirt Bike: Dwayne Capers, was arrested by officers patrolling Stuyvesant Avenue who saw a dirt bike traveling in their direction. Capers tried to veer off and avoid police car, lost control and then ran away on foot. Officers chased him down and arrested him. He had $900 in cash, seized as evidence. He was charged with receiving stolen property and obstructio­n, among other charges, as the bike was reported stolen out of North Hampton, Pennsylvan­ia.

Drug Bust: Gabriel Nwadibia, 42, was arrested by street crime detectives on Hanover Street. Nwadibia and another woman Kim Crockett, 57, were taken into custody when detectives saw Crockett trying to hide two Oxycodone pills. Nwadibia also tried to toss a bag of pills. Detectives recovered 34 grams of pot, 62 pills and $96 in cash.

Shooting: Police responded to a shooting on the 100 block of Hoffman Avenue where officers found a man who was shot in the buttocks. Police were looking for two males who allegedly shooting. No arrests have been made, and the victim is expected to survive.
