Undefeated TCNJ field hockey getting lift from local standouts

The College of New Jersey field hockey team is off to a great start with a couple of former local high school stars contributi­ng quite a bit.

The thirdranke­d Lions saw

Tori Hannah (Stuart) tally a goal and add an assist and Kayla Peterson (Allentown) add an assist against Cabrini.

In a battle of two top-10 teams when Salisbury came to Ewing last Saturday, then-No. 5 TCNJ topped No. 4 Salisbury, 4-2.

The Lions (7-0) got a goal from Hannah and a pair of assists from Peterson to pace the victory over Salisbury.

Peterson leads the Lions in assists with six and is tied for the conference lead. Hannah had four goals and four assists. Dimanche is second on the team in tackles with 20.

had 12th place finish at the Bill Fritz Invitation­al and it helped lead Rowan to a first place finish.

threw four touchdown passes for Albany in a win over Lafayette and he has now thrown eight TD passes in the last two games. has two catches on the season for Lafayette.
