Fiber bomb drops this weekend in Trenton for the Fiber Arts Festival
BSB Gallery is proud to present The Fiber Arts Festival, a celebration of all creative avenues for fiber based arts in one massive public yarn bombing. Join BSB Gallery in conjunction with the Trenton Downtown Association, Saturday, Oct. 5 11 a.m. - 5 p,m. (rain date: Sunday, Oct 6, 11 a.m. - 5 p,m.) to participate in a live yarn bombing in Mill Hill Park located at 165 E. Front St, Trenton, NJ, alongside fiber artists and food vendors, children’s activities, and live music.
The Fiber Arts Festival is meant to highlight and connect the amazing Knit & Stitch / fiber communities in the Trenton and Mercer County area and involve the public in this vibrant art form! The Fiber Arts Festival is a free event and is open to all ages and skill sets.
Throughout the summer we hosted an array of programming and special events that focused on fiber and textile based arts, during which participants created their own fiber patches and squares to donate to The Fiber Arts Festival’s yarn bombing. During The Fiber Arts Festival, participants will decorate the trees using the squares, patches and other fiber works created during our summer programming. More supplies for impromptu creations will be on hand for those who would like to jump in on the fun. Individual artists and groups can also register in advance to reserve a tree for a solo or collaborative fiber installation. Live music by Trenton favorites DJ Flea Market and DJ itsjustahmad. To find out more about our participating vendors, you can go to our website, https:// www.bsbgallery.com/thefiber-arts-festival.
What is yarn bombing?
