GIANTS GAMEDAY

-

The Game: Eagles (8-7) at Giants (4-11), Sunday, 4:25 p.m. (FOX)

The Line: Philadelphia by 4.5

History: The Eagles lead the all-time series, 86-85-2. Philadelphia has dominated recent history with six straight wins and victories in 10 of the last 11 meetings.

Key Matchups:

Giants RB Saquon Barkley vs. Eagles run defense: Philadelphia’s third-ranked run defense limited Barkley to 66 yards on 17 carries in Week 14, but Barkley has since busted out of his sophomore slump with two big games against the Dolphins and Redskins. Prior to last week, his career high in all-purpose yards came against the Eagles at home last season, when he rushed for 130 and added another 99 in receiving. Giants LT Nate Solder vs. Eagles DE Derek Barnett: New York’s offensive line — particularly on the edges — still appears overmatched against Philadelphia. Solder is tied for the league lead with 11 sacks allowed, while Barnett leads the Eagles with 18 QB hits. That could be a problem for Daniel Jones, who has a league-high 16 fumbles (10 lost).

Giants CB DeAndre Baker vs. Eagles WR Greg Ward: Baker has had an up-anddown rookie season, but it’s time for the first-round pick to put it all together against Philadelphia’s severely banged up receiving corps. Ward, a rookie, has emerged as Wentz’s top target with 132 receiving yards and a touchdown in the past two games against the Cowboys and Redskins.

Giants NT Dalvin Tomlinson vs. Eagles C Jason Kelce: The Giants should have an edge in containing Philadelphia’s run game. Tomlinson added two more tackles-for-loss against the Redskins to his monster campaign. He had two QB hits in the first meeting with the Eagles and now gets a rematch with their three-time Pro Bowl center. Injury Report:

Giants: OUT: OT Mike Remmers (concussion), TE Rhett Ellison (concussion), TE Scott Simonson (concussion). QUESTIONABLE: CB Corey Ballentine (back), LB Alec Ogletree (back), CB Sam Beal (shoulder). Eagles: OUT: WR Nelson Agholor (knee), TE Zach Ertz (ribs/back). QUESTIONABLE: OT Lane Johnson (ankle), CB Jalen Mills (ankle).

Giant Facts: Daniel Jones became the first Giants rookie and only the fourth NFL rookie to throw for five touchdowns in a game last week. … Eli Manning enters his final Sunday as a Giant with a franchise record 236 games played. He’s also been a team captain for 13 straight seasons. … Saquon Barkley was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in his career. The Prediction: Eagles 23, Giants 20
