Scouting Princeton: The Tigers have been stewing on a 15-point home loss since last taking the court on Dec. 19. In fact, Princeton is 0-4 at Jadwin this season and would like to snap that trend before entering into a home and home with Penn to begin Ivy play. Coach Mitch Henderson was disappointed with the team’s performance against Hofstra, but the Tigers have actually won two of the last three, while four of the last seven have been one possession games in the final minute (1-3 in those games). Princeton still needs to tighten up its defense as it ranks near the bottom of the nation in scoring defense (78 ppg, 324th) and field goal percentage defense (50%, 344th).

Scouting Lehigh: It’s strange to look at the Patriot League standings and see Lehigh and Bucknell near the bottom, but that’s where the two traditional powers are at as non-conference play comes to a close. Princeton is facing Patriot League opposition for the third time (win at Bucknell; loss vs. Lafayette). The Mountain Hawks have dropped six straight, but five of those have come on the road, and they were competitive against Auburn before fading in the last eight minutes. Despite trailing the all-time series to Princeton, Lehigh has had success of late, winning three in a row and four of the last five. Guard Jordan Cohen (14.3 ppg, 32.3% from 3) is the team’s top scorer, while 6-9, 225-pound center James Karnik (12.5 ppg, 7.7 rpg) should matchup well with the Tigers’ 6-9, 230-pound Richmond Aririguzoh (14.1 ppg, 8.5 rpg).
