Stuart impressive in win over Saddle River

PRINCETON » The Stuart Country Day School girls’ basketball team came up with an impressive, 58-49 win over Saddle River Day School Tuesday when the Tartans outscored the Rebels, 19-10, in the fourth quarter to survive a game the visitors had rallied to tie.

Six-foot-four junior Laila Fair had her best game of the season with 21 points, 14 rebounds and three blocked shots. Her classmate Ariel Jenkins, another 6-4 presence, added 17 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks to give head coach Justin Leith’s 15-6 team its 11th consecutiv­e win. SADDLE RIVER (49)
