ND grad Barcless among local standouts at college level

Trinity Barcless is putting together an amazing ice hockey career at Stevenson.

When the Notre Dame High grad was a freshman, she was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Year, and now as a junior, Barcless was named the MAC Offensive Player of the Year.

Barcless led the Mustangs with 15 points and eight goals in league play. Her seven assists also ranked tied for third.

Barcless netted her first career hat trick and finished with four points in a win over King’s and had another pair of three-point performanc­e in conference play.

It was a family affair for the Barcless clan as Trinity’s sister, Abigail, was given Honorable Mention on the All-Middle Atlantic Conference team.

Abigail, also an ND grad, is a freshman at Wilkes and played in 15 games on defense and accounted for a goal and four assists.

In the first meeting this season between the sisters, Trinity had a goal and two assists and Abigail had an assist in a 3-1 Stevenson win.

Fitzpatric­k scored 13 goals and added three assists for the Lions in wins over Moravian and FDU-Florham.

The former Greyhound tied her career high with seven goals in the Moravian win.

Sweeney anchored the TCNJ defense that allowed just six goals in the two wins. The former RV star also grabbed 15 draw controls in the wins. She set a new career high with nine draws in the FDU-Florham win. (Burlington Twp.) are both hitting .250 and Will Zimmerman (Conwell-Egan) has a 2.25 ERA on the mound.

Robinson III Averages 18

Pat Robinson III (Conwell-Egan) would have in the lineup for West Liberty in the NCAA Division II basketball championsh­ip.

Robinson III, who was an All-Mountain East Conference second team selection, averaged 18 points during the regular season.
