Pancakes and syrup

-

What does pancakes have to do with BLM? I am not buying their product without AuntJemima, it’s sacrilege like not buying Log Cabin. You want Robert E Lee, down, Stonewall Jackson down, then next time you teach Mexican-American War, don’t include their sacrifice you hypocrite, to West Point or the Virginia Military Academy! The Confederate Flag stays, you really want war between the South and North!

I hope you know how stupid that reads. The owners of the

Aunt Jemima brand are changing it as a response to market and public input. Conservatives have long demanded that the free market handle situations like this, and the company is choosing to make this change, and conservatives lose their minds. She’s a fictional character played by several different actresses over the past hundred years. The last one, whose image is actually on the bottle now, is among those applauding the change.

A confederate flag belongs in a museum, not on any public buildings. It is the symbol used by people who wanted to continue owning humans. It is the symbol of failed traitors to the U.S. It has been proudly adopted by actual hate-groups like neoNazis around the country. And private businesses like NASCAR banning it is another example of the free market addressing a problem. No one is forcing them to remove it, they are choosing to because they recognize the impact it has on large segments of our nation.
