FALLS TOWNSHIP » A Trenton man is wanted after allegedly shooting at his girlfriend during an argument, cops said.

Lashun Turner, 27, is charged with felony attempted murder after he strangled his girlfriend and fired a shot at her as she tried leaving the couple’s Springs Apartment complex Sunday.

The woman was not struck by the shot, and cops are searching for Turner, who was last seen crossing the Calhoun Street bridge and is considered armed and dangerous.

Cops armed with a warrant did not recover the attempted murder weapon while searching the couple’s apartment, believing Turner took it with him. Detectives hope Turner will turn himself in without a fight.

He faces additional counts of aggravated assault, strangulation, weapons possession and terroristic threats.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the couple was arguing in the master bedroom when Turner threw the woman’s phone with such force that it became embedded in the wall.

Turner put his girlfriend in a chokehold and applied pressure until she was about to pass out and defecated herself, according to the affidavit.

He finally let go of her but, as she went to leave, he grabbed a black handgun off a dresser and pointed it at her and pressed the gun into her head “in a threatening manner.”

The woman pushed past Turner into the bathroom to shower, disposing of her soiled clothes in a trash can, cops said.

Turner taunted the woman while she was in the bathroom, “pushing, pulling and pointing” the gun at her to coerce her into staying, the affidavit says.

The woman dressed, and as she was trying to leave a second time, Turner opened fire, hitting the wall near the front door.

He told the woman that he’d kill her if she left him, according to the affidavit.

Frightened, the woman retreated to the bedroom while Turner sprayed the home down to eliminate the smoke smell from the gun blast, the affidavit says.

The woman escaped while Turner was busy doing that and called 911.

Turner has a previous gun conviction from 2011, police said.
