Best wash around at Spin Doctor Laundromat

“Thank You” to readers of The Trentonian for voting us “Reader’s Choice Best” for Laundromats, for the second year in a row. This recognition is such a boost to the staff who unknowingly became front-line essential workers for the five months and counting.

Our operation doesn’t have a cure for COVID-19, but we are “The Cure for Dirty Clothes.” In fact, we learned that we are a “Virus Killing Laundromat.” How is that, you ask? Our Electrolux commercial machines are Hazard Analysis Critical Control (HCCP), tested and certified to kill the virus on clothes when used as directed. Specifically, an independent, internationally recognized, third-party, performed an analysis of finished product and certified that the equipment controls biological, chemical, and/or physical hazards.

But we don’t stop there. To ensure the safety of staff and patrons in our facility, we disinfect surfaces multiple times throughout the day, monitor social distancing, mandate masks/face coverings, and encourage use of our secret weapon: free washer-to-customer texting.

This texting feature helps customers practice social distancing in two ways: (1) text the word “status” to 609-927-8170 and the washers will poll each other and report how many are free before you make the trip, and (2) customers can text the unique code on a washer to the same telephone number, and receive two text messages: “Your wash will be done in 10 minutes” and “Your wash is ready, please unload.” Users of the feature can retreat outdoor, or to the relative safety of their own car until the machine summons them to return.

We welcome the public to come by for a “spin” around our facility or try us out for the weekly wash (see coupon in this newspaper); you’ll be glad you did. We have forty-one washers in three sizes: 20, 45, and to 77 lb. capacity; with the largest programmed to deliver an exclusive Electrolux™ Comforter Wash Cycle, along with thirty-six large drum dryers; vending, a dedicated child play area, multi-payment options, and we’re always staff attended.

Our hours during “Stage 2” of business opening, is 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM; last wash 6:30 PM; 7-days a week (excluding major holidays).

Spin Doctor Laundromat was founded in 2012 by Cathy Neilley, an Adjunct Professor of Business at MCCC and a former healthcare executive and draws customers from as far away as Middlesex, NJ and Bucks County, PA. In addition to self-wash, the business offers drop-off laundry service, performs elderly/community outreach, offers college and military discounts, supports commercial accounts, and is certified DBE, female, and veteran owned.
