GIANTS GAMEDAY

-

The Game:

49ers (1-1) at Giants (0-2), Sunday, 1p.m. ET (FOX)

The Line: San Francisco by 3.5

History: The Giants lead the all-time series, 21-20. New York won the most recent meeting two years ago in San Francisco, 27-23, and four of the last six games overall.

Key Matchups Giants RT CamFleming vs. Niners DE Arik Armstead:

San Francisco is down two top pass rushers in Nick Bosa and Dee Ford, but Armstead is no slouch as the former first-round pick had 10sacks last season. Still, Fleming has a shot to hold his own after rough outings against Pittsburgh’s T.J. Watt and Chicago’s KhalilMack.

GiantsWR Golden Tate vs. Niners CB Emmanuel Moseley: Tate, who had five catches for 47yards in his season debut last week, should see an increase in targets with Sterling Shepard out. Moseley has two pass deflections in two games.

Giants CB James Bradberry vs. Niners QB Nick Mullens: San Francisco’s backup has 11interceptions in nine career games. Bradberry forced one interception with a deflection and corralled another last week in Chicago. The Giants’ top defensive back should be able to take advantage of a young quarterback.

Giants OLB Kyler Fackrell vs. Niners LT Trent Williams: San Francisco snatched the former All-Pro left tackle from Washington in an offseason trade. Fackrell, a former Packer, made a bigger impact in his second game with the Giants by recording a first-quarter sack.
