Neese’s bigotry

-

Wow. Dave Neese reached a new low in his apologies for bigotry & hate in yesterday’s piece. First, he lumps the “Antifa Hotheads” in with the BLM movement and equates them both with the old “Know Nothing” Party’s violent “Plug-Uglies”.

In fact, I submit that the BLM movement aims to reduce violence. Both the “Antifa Hotheads”, and, particularly, small groups of lawless criminals, have used BLM demonstrations as convenient cover for their illegal activities, whether it’s looting while the authorities are distracted, or providing violent “protection” from right-wing agitators.

What’s even worse, Dave suggests that the Proud Boys and the “scraggly Klan remnants” are the “irrelevant fringe”. Both the Dept. of Homeland Security and The Southern Poverty Law Center would say otherwise. They track both of those two groups, along with the dozens of other far-right, neo-nazi groups, and they state, unequivocally, that far-right extremists represent the most dangerous and immediate threat to American security, NOT an “irrelevant fringe”. And both groups have the unwavering support of our current “president” (see: “some very fine people” and “stand down, and stand by”).

I can’t defend anyone who defends the Proud Boys in any way.
