It’s a historic weekend in the NFL, the first time we have six wild card games.

In short: It’s an NFL fan’s dream scenario. Never before have six playoff games happened in one weekend. It’s glorious.

And to mark this occasion, L.A. and I have decided to forgo politics, the coronavirus, and all other manner of American Horror Story and dig into these six games. Loser is buying lunch when this thing is all over. I just threw that in. L.A. wasn’t aware. Well, he is now. Let’s get to it.

Bills 28 Colts 24: It’s going to be a tight one, as the Indianapolis Colts whole thing on defense is to prevent big plays. They sit in the zone and refuse to allow big bombs, which is Josh Allen’s specialty. Additionally, what the Colts want to do — run the ball — is exactly what the Bills are happy to allow. But the Bills are simply the more explosive team, and the real NFL MVP — Allen — is going to will this team to victory.

Seahawks 21 Rams 14: Once again going with the home favorite. The Seahawks will do just enough to win, and the Rams will do just enough to keep this close. Caveat: If Sean McVay opens up the playbook, this could get a little hairy. But if he does, Russ will cook and the Seahawks will win, but the score would be higher.

Bucs 17 Football Team 10: A defensive battle. Sure, the Bucs offense is dynamite, but the Washington defense is for real, and they’ll keep this a lot closer than they should. In the end, though, Tom Brady and Co. will move on.

Titans 42 Ravens 38: This can be a humdinger. Basically, the Titans offense is awesome and underrated. The Ravens defense is good, but I’ll bet on the Titans O. On the other side of the ball, the Ravens are firing on all cylinders and the Titans have no defense. This game could really be the best game of the weekend, and it’s very possible it’s an offensive slugfest. Hoping for the latter. It’ll be fun.

Saints 27 Bears 17: The Bears just aren’t very good, and the Saints will be able to win this game without having to do much heavy lifting. And finally … Steelers 24 Browns 17: The Steelers somehow almost beat the Browns last week with Mason Rudolph starting and the Browns doing everything they could to win. The Browns could win here, no doubt, but the Steelers will do just enough to out-muscle their division rivals.

DeLorenzo’s Robbinsville. That’s what I choose for lunch. Get your credit card ready, Parker.
