Willeeni Mae Glover age 88 of Trenton, NJ peacefully passed away January 21, 2021 at Helene Flud Hospital, Trenton, NJ.

Willeeni Mae Glover was born on May 9, 1932 in Manning, SC to the late Trancie and Helen Singleton. The family moved from Manning, SC to Belle Glade, FL, to Morrisvill­e, PA, and in 1942 they settled in Trenton, NJ.

Willeeni attended Pennsbury Elementary School, Trenton Public School (JR.) and graduated from Trenton Central Highschool in 1951.

She worked at Blakely Laundry and General Motors Corporatio­n for over 35 year as an Inspector.

Willeeni enjoyed singing and loved the Lord. In 1945 under the leadership of Elder D.F. Palmer, Willeeni was baptized and became a lifelong member of the Primitive Baptist church. As a member she served on the following committees, Nurses’ Unit, Friendly 12, Usher Board, and the Senior Choir. She also was a member of the Eastern Star (Lady Ruth Chapter). In 1970 she became the church secretary. She held that position until July 2020. The church secretary was a position previously held by her mother, “Mother” Helen Singleton.

Willeeni was preceded in death by her parents, Trancie and Helen Singleton, her husband Joseph L. Glover Sr., a son Joseph L. Glover Jr. ,a daughter Gwendolyn Glover and her stepsister Hattie Williams.

Willeeni’s memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her daughter, Helen V. Glover (Vickie), a son, Milton Glover, a sister, Marjorie Garvin, a brother, Lawrence McBride; six grandchild­ren; Trumaine Carter (Terrence Carter), Michael Glover (Jen Glover), Helen Glover, April Glover, Brandon Glover, one step grandchild, Corey Dixson (Bernadette), six great grandchild­ren; Joe Joe, Sasha, Iyana, Jaylen, and Jasmin, two daughtersi­n-law Kathy and Doris Glover, three God children; Pat Varlow, Anthony Davis, and, Yvon Joachim, two sisters-in-law; Lula and Delisa Glover from Hobe Sound, FL, and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friend, Tanya Barr.

Services will be 9-11am Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Lighthouse Outreach Ministry, 715 Bellevue Ave, Trenton, NJ 08618. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
