TCNJ women’s lax goalie Natalicchio collects weekly honor

It was a bittersweet week for The College of New Jersey’s Ali Natalicchio as the former Notre Dame star began the week by being named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week after her performance in goal in the Lions’ season opening win over Cabrini.

Natalicchio had seven saves and scooped up a pair of groundballs in the victory. On Saturday against No .5 Salisbury, Natalicchio and the No. 10 Lions fell, 14-8. Natalicchio had nine saves and a team-high three ground balls.

Sabrina Phillips (Notre Dame) had six draw controls for the Lions.

Wiltsey NJAC Rookie of the Week

Justin Wiltsey (Hamilton West) earned the first NJAC Rookie of the Week honor of the season. He was 3-for-12 (.250) with two RBIs, a double, a triple, three walks and three runs scored for New Jersey City.

He also saw time on the mound, earning the start in game two against Kean. He tossed 5.2 quality innings, allowing three earned on seven hits and two walks in the loss.

Patterson Named Player of the Week

Julie Patterson (Princeton Day) led Wilkes with a two-goal game against Utica on Saturday. It was her first-career multi-goal game and she added four total shots.

He effort earned the former Panther the MAC Offensive

Player of the Week honors.

Nardozza, Mayernik Lead TCNJ

Elyse Nardozza (Hopewell Valley) had a pair of RBIs in the Lions’ season opener with Salisbury.

Freshman Julia Mayernik (Northern Burlington) had a fantastic collegiate debut in the win over Wesley with three hits, including a double.
