Thank goodness for a Twitter post when the Bulldogs were 7-0. Liked Gonzaga then and now.

Mind you, this pick could mean nothing if USC knocked off the Bulldogs last night. Gonzaga entered last night’s game with a 29-0 record.

The Bulldogs have won 33 consecutive games and has set a Division 1 record with 26 consecutive double-digit wins.

Keep your eye on Gonzaga freshman Jalen Suggs who can vault into the NBA as a top-5 selection. Suggs has played with confidence and poise as a team leader although senior Corey Kispert registers as a key cog along with sophomore power forward Drew Timme.

Guard Joel Ayayi shoots exquisitely, passes the ball adeptly and rebounds.

Oh, yeah, Gonzaga guard Andrew Nembhard put up 17 points and eight assists when the Bulldogs beat Creighton in a West semifinal contest.

Gonzaga plays fast and efficiently although players can adjust to halfcourt and patterned play.

Coach Mark Few missed in his 2017 chance to win the NCAA title.

Gonzaga finished 37-2 after losing to North Carolina in the championship showdown.

This team seems ready to run the table although USC or Michigan, a likely Final Four opponent, attempts to play hard nosed hoops that tests Gonzaga macho barometer.

Truly believe only Gonzaga or Baylor will win this strange COVID-19 version of March Madness.

Amazingly, a muchanticipated matchup between No. 1 Gonzaga and No. 2 Baylor got canceled in early December after two members of the Bulldogs travel party tested positive for coronavirus.

Hopefully, both squads advance for what would be a fantastic finale.
