Rock North stays unbeaten with wild win

BENSALEM, PA. >> The Council Rock North softball team has done it again!

Continuing its fast start, Rock North improved to 4-0 on Tuesday with a wild 14-11 slugfest win over Bensalem in eight innings.

After Bensalem failed to score with the bases loaded and no outs in the seventh, Rock North took control with six runs in the top of the eighth. For the game, Emma Zoldi was 4-for-4 with a double and home run. Molly Sheehy also had four hits with a double, and Taylor Geahart and Isabella Pelitta each had two hits.

LAWRENCEVILLE 5, KENT 3 KENT, CONN. >> The Big Red (20) picked up a nice win against a quality pitcher. Sophomore Sarah Zimmerman continued to impress, striking out 16 while yielding just four hits. Three of those hits were by Jessica Greene, a Hofstra recruit who double and homered. Mia Bocian had a monster game for L’Ville with a double, triple and home run.
