Alexander Paul Vasanski
Alexander Paul Vasanski, age 84, of Browns Mills, NJ, entered into his eternal rest with the Lord on Thursday, December 16, 2021. Born in Pinsk, Poland, he immigrated to the United States in 1950, first in West Virginia, and then soon after in Trenton NJ. He graduated from Trenton Central High School. Alexander was employed as a wireman, responsible for electronics assembly, with RCA Astro Electronics (which was bought by GE, then merged to form Lockheed Martin) for over 30 years.
In his youth, he played soccer, and later in life he adored watching his grandchildren play. He was a member of the V.F.W., though he was not a veteran himself, he proudly supported the US Military. Throughout his life, he loved golfing, playing pool, swimming, and playing chess. He was an avid
collector of many things, including stamps and coins. He was always outdoors, an avid gardener, and raised chickens for many years. He loved making pickles and sauerkraut from the veggies he grew himself, and his family and friends were the happy beneficiaries of his work throughout the decades!
A devout Catholic, he attended mass at St. Ann’s in Browns Mills for many years, and prior to that had attended mass for many years at St. Anthony’s in Trenton. Alexander was very family oriented and loved nothing more than spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren.
Son of the late Nikolay and Elena (Reucki) Vasanski; father of the late Alexander Jr.; brother
of the late Albert (“Van”) Vasanski, and Dzina (“Debbie”) Masino; Alexander is survived by his two children, Michael Vasanski and wife Sara Aliyeva, and Lisa and husband Alastair MacLennan III; four grandchildren, Alastair IV and Bryce MacLennan, Mark Vasanski, and Nicole Moose; a sister, Eleanor and husband Lee Underwood; as well as many other family members and friends.
