Scouting Rider: The Broncs dropped both home games this past weekend and now begin a road trip with three games in six days. Rider should have beaten Quinnipiac when the teams met last Friday, but the Bobcats closed regulation on a 14-6run to force overtime and then took control in the final 1:30of the extra session. … Graduate senior Dimencio Vaughn is 18rebounds away from becoming the only player in program history to rank in the top 15in points, rebounds, steals and blocks. He set the all-time steals record when he recorded five against Saint Peter’s on Sunday to move past Ryan Thompson and his former teammate Stevie Jordan. … Rider has only shot better than 50% once this season and that came in its only MAAC victory over Marist.

Scouting Quinnipiac: The Bobcats trailed for over 33minutes in the first meeting with Rider before pulling the game out with some clutch shot making late in the game. They were 4-for-20from beyond the arc in the first half of that game, but started driving to the basket in the second half and overtime. … Matt Balanc comes off the bench to score a teambest 15.1points and had 17in the first meeting against Rider. … Dezi Jones and Kevin Marfo are next at 9.5points per game each. Marfo has also contribute­d a team-high 10.2rebounds and 4.3assists per game. Jacob Rigoni (9.4 ppg.), Tyrese Williams (8.5ppg.) and Tymu Chenery (8.3ppg.) give Baker Dunleavy’s squad scoring depth.
