Wilma M. Gruzlovic
HAMILTON – Wilma M. Gruzlovic, 92, passed away at her home in Hamilton on Thursday, February 24, 2022, with her daughter by her side.
Born in Trenton, she resided in Hamilton most of her life. She enjoyed reading and history and was an avid follower of politics and current events.
A 1947 graduate of Hamilton High School, she had a lifelong love of learning and returned to the classroom later in life to earn an associate of arts degree from Mercer County Community College at age 59. She was an executive secretary at the Children’s Hospital of Trenton Psychiatric Hospital and later at Johnstone Training Center in Bordentown before retiring from the State of New Jersey after 30 years.
Wilma was one of the original officers of CYAC (Catholic Young Adult Club), serving as recording secretary. She was a member of the Department of Transportation Memorial Committee, former historian of DOTRA (Department of Transportation Retirees Association), trustee of Citizens for a Better Hamilton and member of the Hamilton Township Seniors. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church.
Wilma was the daughter of the late John J. and Wilma I. Haller and beloved wife of the late Theodore P. Gruzlovic.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, she will be dearly missed by her three children, Mark Gruzlovic (Donna) of Hamilton, Hope Gruzlovic (Joseph Donohue) of Allentown and Paul Gruzlovic of Tallahassee, Florida; grandson Stephen Gruzlovic of Robbinsville; two sisters, Rose Sokolowski (John) and Nancy Galati (Anthony) of Hamilton; several nieces and nephews, and her granddog Duffy.
Calling hours for family and friends will be Thursday, March 3, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Road, Allentown. Burial will follow in North Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton.
