PUBLIC NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Planning Board (the “Board”) of the Township of Lawrence, County of Mercer, New Jersey, will hold a public hearing on March 20, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lawrence Township Municipal Building, Lower Level Conference Room, 2207 Lawrence Road, Lawrence Township, New Jersey 08648, to review a preliminary investigation of the property located at 3131 Princeton Pike and designated as Block 3801, Lots 2,3,6,18 and 19 on the Lawrence Township Tax Map (the “Property”) to determine whether the Property should be designated by the Township of Lawrence governing body as a Non-Condemnation Area in Need of Redevelopment, pursuant to N.J.SA 40A:12A-5 and -6. The Property, which is approximately 26.97 ± acres of land, is located on the Princeton Pike near its intersection with U.S. Route 295 and is currently improved with six (6) office buildings constructed in the 1970s totaling approximately 273,966 square feet of office space and is currently zoned Office (0). Should the Township designate the Property as a Non-Condemnation Area in Need of Redevelopment, that determination shall not authorize the Municipality to exercise the power of eminent domain to acquire any Property in the designated area. Interested parties or those that may be affected by the designation of the Property as a NonCondemnation Area in Need of Redevelopment may appear, either in person or by attorney, and present any comments, evidence or questions which they may have regarding the preliminary investigation and this matter. The hearing may be continued without further notice on such additional or other dates as the Board may determine. The preliminary investigation, including a map of the Property and statement setting forth the basis for the investigation along with other supporting materials will be available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Lawrence Township Municipal Building located at 2207 Lawrence Road, Lawrence Township, New Jersey 08648, as of March 3, 2023.
