POLICE REPORTS The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymousl­y report crime informatio­n, call 463-6205. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: An officer responded to Washington Court at 12:48 a.m. Monday and arrested Marcie Brendlen, 30, of Ukiah, on suspicion of domestic violence. She was booked into Mendocino County Jail. BURGLARY: An officer responded to the 600 block of West Clay Street at 2:27 p.m. Monday and took a report of a burglary. SOMEONE POINTING LASER FROM VEHICLE: Caller in the 100 block of West Standley Street reported at 9:42 p.m. Monday that someone in a gray coupe was pointing a laser at people. An officer checked the area. At 11:12 p.m., a caller in the 100 block of South Oak Street reported that someone in a car was shining a laser. An officer responded and contacted the person, who was counseled and left the area. At 11:20, a caller in the 500 block of Ford Street reported that someone in a black, four-door sedan was pointing a laser at her and threatenin­g to shoot her and her family. An officer responded and checked the area but the sedan was gone. Extra patrols were requested.

FAUCET ON IN BURNED HOUSE: Caller at 10:32 p.m. Monday reported that a faucet inside a recently burned structure at 200 Brush St. was “going full blast.” An officer checked the house and found no one inside. At 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported that there was water running in an abandoned house in the 200 block of Brush Street and there were people inside. An officer contacted the caller and advised them of their options.

CAMPING FIRE: Caller in the 200 block of East Clay Street reported at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday that a fire was in a homeless encampment. An officer responded and the fire was put out. CAMPERS: An officer contacted four people with tents on Lewis Lane at 9:13 a.m. Tuesday and advised them to leave. CAR HIT HYDRANT: Caller at West Standley and Giorno streets reported at 6:46 p.m. Tuesday that someone driving an “older gray Subaru” hit a fire hydrant, then drove off “dragging pieces of it along the street.” An officer responded and took a report. City water employees were called out to repair damage to the hydrant.

Those arrested by law enforcemen­t officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the informatio­n is in error should contact the appropriat­e agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcemen­t agencies are reported by the newspaper. CORRECTION­S
