Political letters policy

To Our Readers:

The Ukiah Daily Journal prints political letters about individual candidates during any election season in a separate section of the newspaper. Like all letters, including email letters, they must include a legible signature, home phone number and address. Letters will be printed as space permits and while we normally have space for most political letters we do not guarantee publication of all letters. Letters which are similar in nature and language and appear to be part of a letter-writing or attack campaign will receive lower priority. Letters about ballot measures will be printed in the regular opinion section. Readers should note that printing these letters does not indicate Daily Journal support for these candidates nor proof of the letter writer’s accuracy.
