POLICE REPORTS

The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymousl­y report crime informatio­n, call 463-6205. DUI: A caller at the corner of East Gobbi Street and South Orchard Avenue reported at 12:16a.m. Sept. 6that they were following a possible drunk driver in a white pickup truck. An officer responded and arrested Norma Delacruz, no age or hometown given, on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was booked into Mendocino County Jail and the vehicle was towed.

DUI: An officer responded to a report of an assault in the 200block of Thomas Street at 8:33p.m. Sept. 6and arrested Mikela Campbell, 24, no hometown given, on suspicion of driving under the influence and violating her probation.

SHOTS FIRED: Caller in the 700block of Grove Avenue reported at 5:15p.m. Sept. 7hearing shots fired. An officer responded and reported that a tree had fallen into power lines. At 5:17p.m., a caller in the 600block of Walnut Avenue reported a power outage.

MAN NOT PAYING CAB FARE: A caller in the 200 block of Ford Street reported at 5:43p.m. Sept. 7than a man was refusing to pay for his taxi ride. An officer responded and arrested a 54-year-old Ukiah man for theft.

DUI: A caller in the 100 block of North State Street reported at 8:24p.m. Sept. 8 a possible drunk driver in the area. An officer responded and arrested Marcos Duran, no age given, of Texas, on suspicion of driving under the influence, and a Riverside County man on suspicion of being drunk in public. Both were booked into county jail. DEATH: An officer responded to the Building Bridges Community Center and homeless shelter on South State Street at 11:35p.m. Sept. 8 and took a report of a death. HOUSE EGGED: Caller in the 200block of Mendocino Drive reported at 12:08p.m. Sept. 9that eggs had been thrown at their house. An officer responded and took a report, noting that there had been “no permanent damage” caused.

NAKED MAN RUNNING AROUND: Caller in the 600 block of South Orchard Avenue reported at 12:14 p.m. Sept. 9that a man “with no clothes on was running around.” An officer responded and arrested a 41-year-old Ukiah man for being drunk in public. HOUSE EGGED: Caller in the 500block of Nokomis Drive reported at 1:30p.m. Sept. 9 that eggs had been thrown at their house.

Those arrested by law enforcemen­t officers are innocent until proven guilty.

People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the informatio­n is in error should contact the appropriat­e agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcemen­t agencies are reported by the newspaper.
