POLICE REPORTS The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymousl­y report crime informatio­n, call 463-6205. COLLISION: An officer responded to a report of a three-vehicle collision in the 700 block of North Bush Street at 3:52 a.m. Sept. 21 and arrested a 20-year-old Willits woman on suspicion of possession of drug parapherna­lia and violating her probation. WARMING FIRE: Caller in the 600 block of South State Street reported at 8:36 a.m. Sept. 21 that people had a warming fire. An officer responded and advised the people about trespassin­g.

MAIL THEFT: Caller in the 100 block of Leslie Street reported a mail theft with suspect informatio­n. Extra patrol was requested for night hours.

MAN IN ROAD: Caller at the corner of East Perkins Street and Orchard Avenue reported at 5:26 p.m. Sept. 21 that a man walking into traffic and asking for money “seemed unsteady.” An officer responded and advised the man to stay out of the roadway.

SIGN STOLEN: Caller in the 400 block of West Mill Street reported at 11:05 a.m. Sept. 22 that their political sign had been stolen. The informatio­n was taken. LARGE GROUP AT APPLEBEE’S: Caller at Applebee’s on Airport Park Boulevard reported at 5:02 p.m. Sept. 22 that the business “allowed 15 firefighte­rs to go inside and eat,” and the caller was worried about being exposed to Covid. The call was referred to “Covid code enforcemen­t.” CAMPING CITATION: An officer contacted a person behaving suspicious­ly in the 100 block of South Orchard Avenue at 8:55 p.m. Sept. 22 and cited a 54-year-old man for illegal possession of a shopping cart and illegal camping. CAMPING CITATION: An officer contacted a person behaving suspicious­ly in the 1200 block of Airport Park Boulevard at 9:49 p.m. Sept. 22 and cited and released a man for illegal camping.

SIGN STOLEN: Caller in the 700block of Spring Street reported at 11:36a.m. Sept. 23that a political sign was taken from his front lawn the previous night.

SOLAR PANELS STOLEN: Caller in the 900 block of Low Gap Road reported at 2:52 p.m. Sept. 23 that solar panels had been stolen. SUSPICIOUS PERSON: An officer contacted a person behaving suspicious­ly at the Willow Terrace apartments on East Gobbi Street at 8:37 a.m. Sept. 24and arrested a 49-year-old man for county warrants. He was booked into Mendocino County Jail. SHOPLIFTER: An officer responded to Walmart on Airport Park Boulevard at 9:41 a.m. Sept. 24and arrested a 43-year-old man for theft. He was cited and released. DEATH: An officer responded to the 600 block of Leslie Street at 10:40 a.m. Sept. 24and took a report of a death.

Those arrested by law enforcemen­t officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the informatio­n is in error should contact the appropriat­e agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant — all DUI cases reported by law enforcemen­t agencies are reported by the newspaper.
