POLICE REPORTS The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymousl­y report crime informatio­n, call 463-6205.

HIT BY SECURITY GUARD: Caller in the 1100 block of Airport Park Boulevard reported at 1:06 a.m. Oct. 1 being hit by a security guard. An officer responded and counseled both parties; no prosecutio­n was desired.

WOMAN WITH LIGHTER: Caller at the Rail Trail and East Perkins Street reported at 11:07 a.m. Oct. 1 that a woman with a lighter was acting suspicious­ly. An officer responded and advised those present about fire hazards. No violations were observed. PROWLER: A caller at the corner of Walnut and Live Oak avenues reported at 11:51 a.m. Oct. 1 that there was a possible prowler in the backyard of a vacant house. An officer responded and contacted a person who reportedly left upon request.

TRESPASSER: Caller in the 1200block of South State Street reported at 4:31 p.m. Oct. 1 that a woman urinating and defecating in the area was refusing to leave. An officer responded and reported that the woman left upon request.

CAMPERS: Caller in the 200 block of South School Street reported at 5:29 p.m. Oct. 1 that people were camping there and had trash near a door. An officer responded and reported that the people left upon request.

CAMPING CITATION: An officer contacted a person behaving suspicious­ly in the 1200 block of Airport Park Boulevard at 11:23 a.m. Oct. 2 and cited a 51-year- old man for illegal camping, illegal storage of camping parapherna­lia and for violating his probation. He was cited and released.

BURGLARY: Caller in the 900 block of River Street reported at 1:32 p.m. Oct. 2 that a storage container had been burglarize­d. An officer took a supplement­al report.

DRUG POSSESSION: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of South State Street at 3:11 p.m. Oct. 2 and arrested Juan C. Lopez, 31, of Willits, on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug parapherna­lia, as well as violating his parole. He was booked into Mendocino County Jail. ATTEMPTED BREAK-IN: Caller at the Sunrise Inn on South State Street reported at 11:32 p.m. Oct. 2 that someone jumped a fence and tried to break in. An officer responded and reported that the person did not get in and there had been no damage to the room.

TRESPASSER: Caller at Ukiah Natural Foods on South State Street reported at 9:21 a.m. Oct. 3 that a man wearing an ankle monitor who had previously caused issues was back and refusing to leave. The man left before an officer responded. At 10:03 a.m., a caller in the 200 block of South State Street reported that a man wearing an ankle monitor was causing a disturbanc­e and refusing to leave. An officer responded and the man left upon request. At 12:08 p.m., a caller in the 700 block of South State Street reported that a man wearing an ankle monitor was harassing customers. The caller later reported that the man had left. Those arrested by law enforcemen­t officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the informatio­n is in error should contact the appropriat­e agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcemen­t agencies are reported by the newspaper.
