The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymousl­y report crime informatio­n, call 463-6205.

CAMPERS: Caller in the 100 block of Talmage Road reported at 8:25 a.m. Jan. 4 that a group of about nine people was camping there. An officer responded and reported that all the people were contacted and leaving upon request.

RABID RACCOON: Caller in the 700 block of Waugh Lane reported at 1:42 p.m. Jan. 4 that a possibly rabid raccoon was in the area. An officer responded and reported that the animal was “relocated to the wild.”

THEFT OF SPARE TIRE: Caller in the 100 block of Leslie Street reported at 9:38 a.m. Jan. 5 that a spare tire had been stolen from a vehicle the previous night. The informatio­n was taken.

SOMEONE SLEEPING ON BENCH: Caller in the 700 block of South State Street reported at 10:06 a.m. Jan. 5 that someone was sleeping on a bench there. An officer responded and “warned the person to move on.”

PACKAGE TAKEN: Caller in the 500 block of West Henry Street reported at 10:19 a.m. Jan. 5 that a package had been stolen. The informatio­n was taken.

TRANSIENTS HARASSING CUSTOMERS: Caller in the 1000 block of South State Street reported at 12:15 p.m. Jan. 5 that transients were harassing customers and “making a mess to the left of the entrance.” An officer responded and asked two people to move on.

CAMPING: Caller in the 1200 block of Airport Park Boulevard reported at 12:33 p.m. Jan. 5 that two people were camping in a lot. An officer responded and advised them to move on.

DOG OFF-LEASH: Caller at Todd Grove Park reported at 1:05 p.m. Jan. 5 that someone had a dog off-leash. An officer checked the area.

PLANTER BOX VANDALIZED: Caller in the 1100 block of South State Street reported at 1:14 p.m. Jan. 5 that a planter box had been vandalized. An officer responded and took a report.

KIDS KNOCKING ON DOORS: Caller in the 700 block of Village Circle reported at 1:13 p.m. Jan. 5 that a group of kids was “knocking on doors and honking a horn loudly” in the complex. The informatio­n was taken. At 3:30 p.m., a caller at the complex reported that their doorbell had been damaged.

MOTHER CHANGED LOCKS: Caller in the 1800 block of Elm Street reported at 4:26 p.m. Jan. 5 that her mother changed the locks and would not let her in. The caller was counseled. At 4:42 p.m., a caller at the same address reported that his girlfriend had been pushed by her mother. The same officer counseled the caller.

KIDS SHOOTING BB GUN: Caller in the 400 block of East Gobbi Street reported at 5:23 p.m. Jan. 5that two kids were on a roof, “shooting a BB gun toward the street.” An officer responded and counseled a kid there.

ROBBERY: An officer responded to the 700 block of South State Street at 1:44 a.m. Jan. 6 when a caller reported that someone was screaming for help, and took a report of assault and robbery.

SHOTS FIRED: Caller in the 600 block of South State Street reported at 9:18 p.m. Jan. 6 that a shooting had just occurred. An officer responded and took a report.

Those arrested by law enforcemen­t officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the informatio­n is in error should contact the appropriat­e agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcemen­t agencies are reported by the newspaper.
