of Willits, CA died peacefully at his Willits home of 41 years on December 22, 2020. He touched our lives deeply through thought and laughter and will forever be missed! He was born April 24, 1948 to Edward A. Meyers, Sr and Peggy Vasquez in Sacramento, CA. He grew up in Redwood City, CA graduating from San Carlos High School in 1966. He relocated during the 1970’s to Ukiah, CA then Willits, CA where he lived most of his life raising four children. He was a graduate from Mendocino College in 1986.

He married Susan Meyers on November 2, 1997 in Redding, CA.

He was a profession­al Class A driver for 50 plus years, and retired to his redwoods in 2005 from Rinehart Oil, Ukiah.

During the late 1980’s he was the procuremen­t manager for ten years at AM&D in Willits.

He was a member of the Willits Lil Stinkers RV Club, San Carlos High School Alumni and the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, Willits. He enjoyed weight lifting, gardening, landscapin­g, listening to the redwoods dance in the wind, camping, traveling, boating, music, history, card playing, and his Miata convertibl­es. As a young man he enjoyed boxing, motorcycle­s and auto racing at the Fremont Drag Strip. He was extremely proud he had enlisted in the Regular Army in 1966 as a private during the Vietnam War. Due to injuries during basic training, he left the Army with an Honorable Discharge. He is preceded in death by Charles (Charlie) Meyers, (son); Edward A. Meyers, Sr. (father); and Peggy Vasquez (mother).

He is survived by Susan Meyers (wife); Molly (trusted canine companion); Josh Meyers & Karen Juska (son and daughter-in-law); Anna and Leon Jeffrey (daughter and son-in-law); Kelvin and Kara Jeffrey (grandchild­ren); John and Melissa Meyers (son and daughter-inlaw); Makena and Charlotte Meyers (granddaugh­ters); Linda Marcarian and Ken Gross (sister and brother in-law); nephew Tyler, niecein-law Chelsea; and niece Sierra Marcarian; Jeanne and Mike Emry (sister and brother in-law); Katie and Chris Morrissey (niece and nephew in law); Peter Hale, brother from another mother; and six Meyers siblings and extended families. Pending Covid restrictio­ns – a celebratio­n of life and birthday celebratio­n to be announced in 2021. The family wishes to thank UCSF Memory and Aging Center, San Francisco; Phoenix/adventist Health Home and Hospice Care, Willits; and Home with Us, Lakeport.
