JAMES LEON LANCASTER 83

Mr. Lancaster passed away December 26, 2020 in Casa Grande, Arizona, He was born on March 22, 1937 in Parkin, Arizona. Known as Leon Lancaster, he was a contractor for many years in Ukiah, Ca. He lived in Eloy Arizona in his earlier years, married and moved to San Francisco where he raised his family, David,

Mitchell and Sheila.

He was a carpenter by trade and bought two houses in San Francisco which he remodeled and sold. He eventually became a contractor building under the name Lancaster Constructi­on.

He moved to Pacifica, Ca. in 1968 where he built the home now occupied by his ex-wife. After his divorce he moved to Ukiah where he built numerous homes and apartment complexes providing housing for many families.

He drove race cars at the local track, enjoyed dirt bike motorcycle riding and sponsored and played men’s softball.

During this time he met and married Linda Lancaster and then moved to Casa Grande, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda who died on November 13, 2019. His health had begun to decline this year and he moved to an assisted living home. His legacy in constructi­on is the many houses that he built and remodeled. He liked working with his hands and fine tuning and tinkering with machines of all kinds.

He will be fondly remembered by sisters, Juanita Gall and Diane Greenslate, sons David Lancaster, Mitchell Lancaster and daughter, Sheila Lancaster, grandsons, Damen Lancaster, Dylan Lancaster and granddaugh­ters Ashley Lancaster and Chelsea Lancaster

Keziah Vanderford Holz 1972-2021

The Holz Family is heartbroke­n to send notice of the passing of Keziah Vanderford Holz on Monday, January 18, 2021. “Kaz” was the beloved wife of Kurt Lee Holz, married for 21 years. She is survived by her children Kurt Lee Holz, Jr. and Kashia Grace Holz, her stepdaught­er April Holz Hughes and April’s husband Zach, and her half-brother Raven Arrow Clayborn. Her life was devoted to the support and care of her family.

She was born on October 2, 1972 in Santa Rosa, the daughter of Mary Beth Clayborn Vanderford and James John Vanderford. She grew up in Santa Rosa and Healdsburg, and graduated from Healdsburg High School. She earned an Associates Degree from Santa Rosa Junior College in Accounting and served as bookkeeper for several small businesses. Perhaps her favorite hobby was the years she spent as Board member and Cheer Coordinato­r for the Healdsburg Bulldogs Youth Football and Cheer Associatio­n. Keziah was surrounded by all her loved ones during her illness and they will hold a private family remembranc­e when conditions allow extended family members to travel to be together. Cremation was performed at Eversole Mortuary in Ukiah.
