POLICE REPORTS The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymousl­y report crime informatio­n, call 463-6205. BURGLARY: Caller in the 200 block of Cherry Street reported at 12:29 p.m. Feb. 14 that a burglary occurred. An officer took a report. BURGLARY: Caller in the 700 block of West Perkins Street reported at 10:45 a.m. Feb. 15 that a burglary had occurred. An officer took a report.

DEAD CAT: Caller in the 200 block of West Gobbi Street reported at 8:33 p.m. Feb. 16 that a dead cat was on the sidewalk. The informatio­n was referred to the next day’s shift. NEIGHBOR USING POWER TOOLS: Caller on Gibson Street reported at 10:13 p.m. Feb. 16 that a neighbor was using power tools in a shed nearby. An officer responded and reported the area to be quiet.

CAMPERS: Caller in the 1200 block of South State Street reported at 6:57 a.m. Feb. 17 that two people were camping out front and refusing to leave. An officer responded and the people left upon request.

MAN USED BEAR SPRAY: Caller at Plowshares on South State Street reported at 11:27 a.m. Feb. 17 that a man had sprayed a staff member with bear spray. An officer responded but the victim was gone. BURGLARY: Caller in the 700 block of East Perkins Street reported at 9:32 p.m. Feb. 17 that a man had broken into the location. An officer responded and arrested Mark A. Wolk, 35, of Ukiah, on suspicion of burglary. He was booked into Mendocino County Jail.

CUSTOMER CAN’T PAY FOR FOOD:

Caller at Denny’s on Pomeroy Avenue reported at 9:36 p.m. Feb. 17 that a woman had eaten and couldn’t pay for her food after using a declined credit card. The caller later cancelled and said the issue would be handled civilly. DOMESTIC BATTERY: Caller in the 600 block of South Orchard Avenue reported at 12:55 a.m. Feb. 18 that a man was trying to get into rooms. An officer responded and arrested a 25-year-old Ukiah man for domestic battery and being drunk in public. TRESPASSIN­G: Caller in the 1000 block of South State Street reported at 8:27 a.m. Feb. 18 that multiple people with five to six tents were camping behind the business. An officer responded an arrested a Ukiah woman on a county warrant. She was cited and released. PLANTS STOLEN: Caller at Ukiah Natural Foods on South State Street reported at 10:53 a.m. Feb. 18 that plants had been stolen from outside the building. The informatio­n was taken. LOUD NEIGHBORS: Caller in the 300 block of North Main Street requested at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 18 to speak to an officer about their neighbors being loud and them needing quiet due to recently being released from the hospital. The caller was counseled.

The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department regarding calls handled by the Fort Bragg Police Department. VANDALISM: Caller in the 400 block of North Harold Street reported at 3:33 p.m. Feb. 14 that the lending library there had been vandalized. An officer took a report.

Those arrested by law enforcemen­t officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the informatio­n is in error should contact the appropriat­e agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant: all DUI cases reported by law enforcemen­t agencies are reported by the newspaper.
