POLICE REPORTS

The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymousl­y report crime informatio­n, call 463-6205. DEATH: An officer responded to Willow Terrace on East Gobbi Street at 10:09 a.m. March 4 for a report of suspicious circumstan­ces and took a report ofadeath.

DRUG PARAPHERNA­LIA: An officer contacted a person in a suspicious vehicle at a motel in the 600 block of South Orchard Avenue at 11:10 a.m. March 4 and arrested a 20-year-old Redwood Valley woman on suspicion of possession of drug parapherna­lia.

DEAD SQUIRREL: Caller at the corner of West Mill and Barbara streets reported at 4:38 p.m. March 4 that a dead squirrel was in the road. The call was referred to the streets department. STRAY CAT: Caller in the 200 block of West Gobbi Street at 3:10 p.m. March 5 requested to speak to an officer regarding a stray cat at the location. The officer took a report of a cat bite. CAMPERS: Caller in the 100 block of Observator­y Avenue reported at 5:57 p.m. March 5 that a large group of people was gathering and camping there. An officer responded and reported that the group said they would be leaving soon.

CATALYTIC CONVERTER STOLEN: Caller in the 500 block of Empire Drive reported at 6:35 p.m. March 5 that the catalytic converter was stolen from a Toyota Prius. VANDALISM: Caller at Walmart reported at 10:12 p.m. March 7 that a man carrying a green sleeping bag had broken a window on his vehicle. An officer responded and arrested a 32-year-old Ukiah man on suspicion of vandalism. He was booked into Mendocino County Jail. MOTORHOME BLOCKING CLINIC PARKING: Caller at the dialysis clinic on South Orchard Avenue reported at 10:57 a.m. March 8 that a motorhome was blocking all of the patients’ spaces. An officer reported that the owner of the vehicle was contacted and would be moving it.

DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle on West Standley Street at 2:45 a.m. March 9 and arrested Tanya Panteleon, no age provided, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence. ILLEGAL CAMPING: An officer performing security checks at the corner of South State and Observator­y streets at 11:18 a.m. March 9 cited a 62-yearold Ukiah man for three county warrants, violating his probation and illegal camping.

VANDALISM: Caller near Costco on Airport Park Boulevard reported at 3:45 p.m. March 9 that someone had destroyed the cat houses there, which was an ongoing issue.

Those arrested by law enforcemen­t officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the informatio­n is in error should contact the appropriat­e agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcemen­t agencies are reported by the newspaper.
