Police Reports

The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymousl­y report crime informatio­n, call 4636205.

PROWLER: Caller in the 800 block of South Oak Street reported at 2:52 a.m. March 22 that someone was knocking on the door. An officer responded and arrested a Ukiah man for being drunk in public. He was booked into Mendocino County Jail. BROKEN WINDOW: Caller in the 300 block of East Perkins Street reported at 8:13 a.m. March 22 that someone threw a rock through a window. LOUD MUSIC: Caller at Low Gap Park reported at 8:40a.m. March 22 that someone in a vehicle parked there was playing loud music and using a controlled substance. An officer responded and reported that that the described vehicle was unoccupied.

STREET SIGN HIT: Caller at the corner of Helen Avenue and Mendocino Drive reported at 11:01 a.m. March 22 that someone hit a street sign and left. An officer took a report. DISTURBANC­E: Caller in the 1300 block of South State Street reported at 12:37 p.m. March 22 having an issue with the “patrons at Plowshares yelling at each other, disturbing the peace in the neighborho­od.” An officer could not reach the caller. ROBBERY: Citizen reported at 9:36 p.m. March 23 that someone had brandished a weapon at her teen-age son. An officer took a report of armed robbery and arrested two juveniles for robbery and conspiracy. One was booked into juvenile hall and one was cited and released.

BURGLARY: Caller in the 300 block of South State Street reported at 8:09 a.m. March 24 that a client’s vehicle had been burglarize­d. An officer took a report.

DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle at the corner of Hospital Drive and East Perkins Street at 11:50 p.m. March 24 and arrested Nicholas V. Hunter, 23, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence and violating his probation.

Those arrested by law enforcemen­t officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the informatio­n is in error should contact the appropriat­e agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant: all DUI cases reported by law enforcemen­t agencies are reported by the newspaper. The Daily Journal makes no exceptions.
