INMATE OVERDOSE: Crews were dispatched to the Mendocino County Jail at 11:38 a.m. July 15 for a report of a 30-year-old male inmate “overdosing.”

SMOKE UNDER BRIDGE: Crews responded to the Talmage Bridge at 7:03 a.m. July 16 when it was reported that smoke was coming up from under the bridge.

VEHICLE INTO POWER POLE: Crews were dispatched to the 100 block of Mazzoni Street at 7:23 p.m. July 16 after a vehicle crashed into a power pole. Trespassin­g: Caller at Adventist Health Ukiah Valley reported at 12:19 a.m. July 8 that a woman was refusing to leave the hospital. An officer responded and arrested Kelisha Alvarez, 32, of Ukiah, on suspicion of trespassin­g, vandalism and violating her probation. She was booked into Mendocino County Jail.

Camping citation: An officer performing security checks at Costco on Airport Park Boulevard at 1:18 a.m. July 8 and arrested a Ukiah man for violating city camping codes, and a Ukiah woman for violating city camping codes and her probation.

Encampment in creek:

Caller at the corner of South Dora Street and Washington Avenue reported at 10:16 a.m. July 8 that people were camping in the creek. An officer responded

and reported that no on was there, and the streets department was notified for clean-up.

Drug sales: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 1100 block of South State Street at 1:30 p.m. July 8 and arrested Osvaldo T. Garnica, 39, of Ukiah, on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale and violating his probation. He was booked into county jail.

Prowler: Caller in the 300 block of Hillview Avenue reported at 5:36 p.m. July 8 that someone was prowling in the backyard. An officer responded and arrested Jalahn I. Travis, 22, of Ukiah, on suspicion of burglary, vandalism and resisting arrest. He was booked into county jail.

Trespasser: Caller in the 400 block of East Gobbi Street reported at 1:15 p.m. July 9 that someone was trespassin­g. The caller later reported that it was someone doing yard work and they wanted to cancel the response.

Suspicious vehicle: Caller near Todd Grove Park reported at 11:09 p.m. July 9 that a suspicious vehicle was in the park. An officer responded and reported that city crews were cleaning the park after an event.

Domestic violence: An officer responded to the 200 block of Norton Street at 2:20 a.m. July 10 for a report of a fight and arrested Jose M. Lorenzana-lucero, 30, of Ukiah on suspicion of domestic violence, threats and possession of drug parapherna­lia. He was booked into county jail. Those arrested by law enforcemen­t officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the informatio­n is in error should contact the appropriat­e agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant: all DUI cases reported by law enforcemen­t agencies are reported by the newspaper.
