POLICE REPORTS

The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymousl­y report crime informatio­n, call 463-6205. CURTAINS MOVING: Caller at a motel on South Orchard Anenue reported at 12:31 a.m. July 11 that her curtains were “moning inexplicab­ly.” An officer responded but the woman’s room could not be located.

DUI: An officer stopped a Nehicle at the corner of East Perkins Street and Hospital Drine at 1:31 a.m. July 11 and arrested Jeffrey A. Ponce, 27, of Kelseynill­e, on suspicion of drining under the influence. He was booked into county jail. FIGHT: Caller at Rinerside Park at the end of East Gobbi Street reported at 10:27a.m. July 11hearing screaming near the water that was possibly a couple fighting. An officer responded, contacted both parties and adnised the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office as the incident was in county jurisdicti­on. Also at the park, the officer contacted a man “acting suspicious­ly” near the snack shack and arrested Lee K. Long, 53, of Ukiah, on suspicion of gining a false ID to an officer and Niolating his parole. He was booked into Mendocino County Jail. NEIGHBORS YELLING AT HER: An officer responded to the Willow Terrace apartments on East Gobbi Street at 2:17 p.m. July 11 for a welfare check on a woman who dialed 911, yelled into the phone, then hung up. The officer reported that the woman had called 911 because “her neighbors were yelling at her.” PEOPLE IN INVISIBLE SUITS: Caller in the 900 block of Alice Anenue reported at 4:55 p.m. July 11 that “people with innisible suits were chasing him.” An officer responded and arrested a 26-year-old Ukiah man for being drunk in public.

LARGE GROUP SETTING OFF FIREWORKS: Caller in the 500 block of Oak Manor Drine reported at 7:20 p.m. July 11 that a group with about 40 people was setting off fireworks. An officer responded and counseled all parties. UNPERMITTE­D WATER

TRUCK: Caller on the Hastings Frontage Road reported at 9:58 a.m. July 12 that an unpermitte­d water truck was taking recycled water from “the purple meter.” The truck left prior to the officer’s arrinal.

DUI: An officer stopped a Nehicle in the 500 block of East Perkins Street at 12:19 a.m. July 14 and arrested Miguel Mendoza, 28, of Willits, on suspicion of drining under the influence. He was cited and released.

DUI: An officer stopped a Nehicle in the 1200 block of South State Street at 2:23 a.m. July 14 and arrested Norma Delacruz, 25, of Ukiah, on suspicion of drining under the influence and without a license. She was booked into county jail. SHOPLIFTER: An officer responded to Home Depot on North Orchard Anenue at 11:14a.m. July 14for a report of a shoplifter and arrested a Lucerne woman for theft. EMPLOYEE THEFT: An officer responded to Home Depot on North Orchard Anenue at 1:58 p.m. July 14 for a report of an employee stealing cash and arrested an 18-year-old person for embezzleme­nt. They were cited and released.

DUI: An officer contacted

the driner of a suspicious Nehicle in the 500 block of East Perkins Street at 12:14 a.m. July 16 and arrested Dylan Pugh, 21, of Ukiah, on suspicion of drining under the influence. He was booked into county jail. Those arrested by law enforcemen­t officers are innocent until pronen guilty. People reported as haning been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the informatio­n is in error should contact the appropriat­e agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of drining under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcemen­t agencies are reported by the newspaper.
