Clifford J. Spaletta Sr

81, of Redwood Valley, passed away on June 26th, 2021. Clifford was born May 2nd, 1940, in Petaluma to Henry and Cecelia Spaletta. He grew up with siblings Henry, Rita, Arthur, Kathy, and Margaret and enjoyed the great outdoors, church, and family gatherings. No matter the difficulti­es life offered Clifford handled everything with strength and grace. He was a true scholar and never ceased continuing his education, even late into life.

Clifford served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1966 and continued in the Coast Guard Reserves until 1982. Clifford retired from P.G.& E after 47 years of service. Additional­ly, he served his community in Sea Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4-H, PTA and IBEW 1245.

In 1964, Clifford met the love of his life, Judith, while they were both stationed at NAS Alameda. In 1966 they were married and had three children, Pamela, Clifford II and Rebecca. It was important to Clifford to be a loving and dependable husband/father and wholeheart­edly loved his family. He was always there for them through their ups and downs and taught them to enjoy every moment life has to offer.

Clifford is survived by his wife and children and leaves behind his siblings, seven grandchild­ren and many more relatives. Clifford will be greatly missed by all.

Please join us for his Celebratio­n of Life Mass officiated by his nephew, Father Thomas Stuart, at St. Eugene’s Cathedral, 2323 Montgomery Drive, Santa Rosa at 1 p.m. Friday July 30, 2021. Rosary immediatel­y precedes the funeral mass at 12:30 p.m. and there will be a reception immediatel­y following services.
