101 Trailer & RV Supply under new ownership
101 Trailer & RV Supply started the year off with new owners, Jennifer and Jack Drew. Jennifer explained that they did not want the long-time business to close down when the previous owner was ready to retire. She said of the store, “It’s such a need in our county and in our town.”
The sentiment rang true as the store was already busy early morning midweek. Jennifer said the store has been, “Super busy, busier than I thought it was going to be.” The Drews moved everything from the store to be able to bring in even more product, expanding their inventory. Jennifer said, “Our goal is to make it so you don’t have to leave Willits for any trailer or truck need.”
101 Trailer & RV Supply took in new product and is now a Weather Tech dealer and a Pro Tech Dealer. Jennifer stated, “We now carry more of the truck accessories, tie downs, etc. I also have brought in a lot of stuff
for the big trucks so that they can get wrappers and tie downs for hauling heavy equipment.” The Drews have also brought in transfer tanks for fuel tanks.
Utility and enclosed dump trailers are still for sale onsite. Aside from functional RV and trailer needs, the store has ‘Karen’s Craft Corner’ where tchotchke items handmade
in Petaluma such as cups and s’more stations are available and even pink lawn flamingos.
The Service Department now has two employees. A service employee who worked for the previous owners stayed with the Drews and they now have their younger son working in the department as well. The Service Department
does breaks, bearings and axles for any kind of trailer. They also do exterior work on RVS.
Although the Drews are new to 101 Trailer & RV Supply, they are not new to Mendocino County. Jack was born and raised in Willits. He has worked next door at Peterson Tractor for 25 years. Jennifer explained that Jack still works next
door and their new business venture is his part-time job and her full-time job. She also works with Sparetime Supply to help put on their big buying shows. Jennifer grew up in Covelo and went to school in Ukiah. The couple raised their children in Willits.
Jack and Jennifer love to RV themselves. Jennifer said, “We still camp as much as we possibly can.” They are also very active in the community and do a lot of community service to
give back. They are involved in the local Future Farmers of America (FFA), Willits High School Sober Graduation and Roots of Motive Power, to name a few. Jennifer said, “We give a lot of our time back to the community.”
