It is with great sadness to announce our beloved mother Rita Ann Ray has passed away with family by her side on December 3, 2021, at the age of 69. She is survived by her beautiful daughters Lisa Want, Trina Reboca, Olivia Reboca and Angela Gutierrez; Brothers

Donald Ray and Charlie Pollard; Grandchild­ren David, Amanda, Mariah, Claudia, Desaray, Kayden, Laila, Alek and Monroe. She also had many nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones. She was predecease­d by her mother Ruby Pollard, brother Everett Ray Jr., grandson Raymond Steele Jr., sister Diane John, nephews Godfrey John, Joshua Pollard and great nephew Jeremy John. Rita was a loving mother, grandma and aunt, as she was very family oriented. She loved family outings, holidays, gatherings, birthdays, events and loved going to the casino.

Rita was born on July 16, 1952 and graduated from Mendocino College with an AA. She transferre­d to Sacramento State College and graduated with her B.A. in Social Work. Rita worked for her tribe Hopland Band of Pomo Indians for many years and also served on Tribal Council. She was dedicated to the elders, at the Indian Senior Center INC. for the remainder of her life. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.

Services will be held at Eversole Mortuary on Thursday December 9, 2021 from 4pm8pm and Rosary will be at 5pm.

The burial will be at the Hopland Rancheria Cemetery at 2:30pm on Saturday December 11, 2021.

There will be a memorial dinner immediatel­y following.
