POLICE REPORTS The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymousl­y report crime informatio­n, call 707-463-6205. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: An officer responded to the 400block of Observator­y Avenue at 12:05p.m. May 6for a late report of a fight and arrested Christophe­r M. Heaney, 34, of Ukiah, on suspicion of domestic violence. He was booked into Mendocino County Jail. ENCAMPMENT: Caller at the Ukiah Valley Conference Center on School Street reported at 6:23 p.m. May 6that a “homeless encampment was setting up at the front doors.” An officer responded and the group reportedly left upon request.

ILLEGAL CAMPING:

Caller at Ukiah Cinema Six on South State Street reported at 9:02p.m. May 6 that someone was trespassin­g. An officer responded and arrested a 48-year-old Ukiah woman for county warrants, violating city camping codes and illegal use of a shopping cart. She was booked into county jail.

STOLEN VEHICLE: Caller in the 900 block of Mazzoni Street reported at 9:50 p.m. May 6 that a vehicle had been stolen. An officer took a report.

MAN YELLING IN PLAZA: Caller reported at 10:47 a.m. May 7 that a man was preaching in the plaza with a bullhorn. An officer responded and reported that the man did not have a bullhorn, “just was yelling loudly, and stated he will quiet down.”

DUI: A caller at Starbucks on East Perkins Street reported at 2p.m. May 7 that his ex hit him in the face. An officer responded and arrested Oceanna J. Ackley, 22, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence and domestic battery. She was booked into county jail.

DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of South Dora Street at 1:46 a.m. May 8and arrested Jessica Jimenez, 20, on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was booked into county jail.

DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 500 block of North Pine Street at 9:37 p.m. May 8 and arrested Eric Hernandez, no age given, on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was cited and released.

DRUG USE: Caller at the Ukiah Skate Park on Low Gap Road reported at 8:50 a.m. May 10 that a “large group of kids were passing a bong around.” The School Resource Officer responded but did not observe any violations.

DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Myron Street at 2:22 a.m. May 11and arrested Alana Morgan, 28, of Mississipp­i, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

FOUND KITTEN: Caller in the 1200block of Airport Park Boulevard reported at 6:12 p.m. May 11 finding a kitten. An officer responded and took the cat to the county animal shelter.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: An officer responded to the 1200 block of South State Street at 9:55 a.m. May 12for a report of a suspicious person and arrested Fredy Fuentesrui­z, 22, of Ukiah, on suspicion of domestic violence, felony vandalism and resisting arrest. He was booked into county jail.

DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 200 block of South School Street at 11:08 p.m. May 12 and arrested Isabel Garcia-cabada, 44, of unknown city, on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was cited and released.

DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Norton Street at 11:36 p.m. May 13and arrested Kaitlyn Morgan, 33, of Redwood Valley, on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was cited and released and “given courtesy transporta­tion.”

DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of North State Street at 2:38 a.m. May 14 and arrested Sarah Gray, 36, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was booked at county jail and her dog was lodged at the animal shelter.

SHOPLIFTER: Caller at Safeway reported at 12:56 p.m. May 14 that a woman left the store with a cart full of unpaid merchandis­e. An officer responded but the woman was gone.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: An officer responded to the 1100 block of South State Street at 6:16 p.m. May 14for a report of a fight and arrested Sebastian Rabano, 42, of Ukiah, on suspicion of domestic violence. He was booked into county jail.

Those arrested by law enforcemen­t officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the informatio­n is in error should contact the appropriat­e agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcemen­t agencies are reported by the newspaper.
