POLICE REPORTS The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymousl­y report crime informatio­n, call 707463-6205. CAMPING CITATION: An officer responded to the 300 block of Stephenson Street at 10:05 a.m. May 19 for a report of suspicious circumstan­ces and cited a 49-year-old Ukiah man for violating the city's camping codes. At 2:53 p.m., a different officer responded to a trespass call at CVS on South Orchard Avenue and cited the same man for possession of a controlled substance and drug parapherna­lia. He was booked into Mendocino County Jail. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:

An officer responded to the 100 block of Clara Avenue at 7:50 a.m. May 20 for a requested civil standby and arrested Shawn M. Johnson, 51, on suspicion of domestic violence. He was booked into county jail. YELLED AT FOR DOG BARKING: Caller in the 1000block of West Church Street reported at 6:35p.m. May 20 that her neighbor yelled at her about her dog barking. An officer responded and the parties were counseled.

DUI: An officer responded to a report of a collision on Talmage Road at Babcock Lane at 8:55 p.m. May 20 and arrested Emma Bechtol, 21, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence and violating her probation. She was cited and released.

DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle at East Gobbi Street and Highway 101 at 12:11 a.m. May 22and arrested Korah Powell, 28, of Mckinleyvi­lle, on suspicion of driving under the influence. The driver was booked into county jail.

DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle at the corner of Leslie and Peach streets at 1:50 a.m. May 23 and arrested Mitchell Parent, 38, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle at the intersecti­on of Low Gap Road and North State Street at 11:41 p.m. May 23and arrested Kenneth Goriup, 55, of San Francisco, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

LOUD MUSIC: An officer responded to the 1000block of South State Street at 11:42 p.m. May 23for a report of loud music coming from a vehicle and arrested Michael F. Powe, 58, of Union City, on suspicion of driving under the influence. On May 19, Powe was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence and booked into county jail.

DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 1200 block of North State Street at 1:32 a.m. May 24and arrested Denise C. Brown, 49, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTAN­CES: Caller in the 500 block of East Perkins Street reported at 4:11p.m. May 27 that two people were “probably attempting to start a fire.” An officer responded, contacted both people and reported they left upon request.

BURGLARY: An officer responded to a motel in the 1200 block of South State Street at 6:59 p.m. May 27and took a report of a burglary.

DRUNK IN PUBLIC: Caller in the 200block of North Orchard Avenue reported at 11:07 a.m. May 28 that a man attempting to board a bus fell. An officer responded and arrested a 32-yearold Portland man for public intoxicati­on.

FIGHT: Caller at Mcdonald's on North Orchard Avenue reported at 3:56p.m. May 28 that a couple was fighting inside a vehicle in the drivethru. An officer responded and arrested a 24-year-old Hopland man on suspicion of misdemeano­r domestic battery and Cameo L. Lima, 26, of Hopland, on suspicion of felony domestic battery.

They were both booked into county jail.

DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of South State Street at 1:47 a.m. May 30and arrested Timothy Donaldson, 20, of Michigan, on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was cited and released. Those arrested by law enforcemen­t officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the informatio­n is in error should contact the appropriat­e agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcemen­t agencies are reported by the newspaper.
