Louis L. Zwicky 1937-2022

Louis L. Zwicky 85, Passed away on May 3,

2022 at his home in Clearlake Ca.

Born February 22 1937 in St. Paul MN. An avid outdoorsma­n and sportsman he loved to go camping, hunting and fishing. Louis was a Navy veteran

and loved being on the water.

After his military service was completed, he

moved to Ukiah Ca. and there he met and married Judy Davis and settled in to raise a family. He was hired by the California

Division of Forestry which is now Calfire. He

y worked his way up, starting as an Engine driver, foreman and Captain and worked at Ukiah Station, Howard Forest, Ukiah Air Attack Base and Laytonvill­e Station as one of the State’s first Helitack Base Captains. After Louis retired from CDF he went on to become a Licensed firearms dealer and business owner in Ukiah California. He was preceded by his brothers Thomas Zwicky of Ukiah Ca. and Lawrence Zwicky of Monroe WA.

He is survived by his brother Jerry, his former wife Judy and their three children, Michael (Cyndi) of Kennewick WA; Robert, of Santa Rosa CA; and Kathy Cole (Steve) of Prescott AZ. And Grandchild­ren Christophe­r Zwicky, and James Zwicky of Kennewick WA, Douglas Quinones of Phoenix AZ., Matthew Cole of Anderson Ca and Amanda Cole of Napa Ca.

A special thank you to the people at Meadowood Nursing Center for their loving care and support during his final days. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Eversole Mortuary for being very accommodat­ing and understand­ing during this difficult time. At his request there will be no public service.
