The Steve Miller family wins the Business Golf Challenge

On Saturday, July 15, The Business Golf Challenge Tournament was played at the Ukiah Valley Golf Course.

The tournament was played to benefit the Boys and Girls golf teams. This tournament, in its 27th consecutiv­e year, consisted of 26 teams and 104 golfers participat­ing in triple digit temperatur­es.

The winning team was the Steve Miller family. Players on the winning team consisted of Mark Sparso, Rick Johnson, Lee Burgess and Jake Hansen. Second place was Thurston Auto Plaza with Trevor Thurston, Damien Bird, Dennis Thurston and Kyler Thurston.

Third place went to Pace Supply with Gary Creekmore, Brian White, Mark Thornton and Rich Anderson.

Fourth place was Wipf Constructi­on with Ernie Wipf, Chris Cooper, Chris Mcmahan and Kevin David, Jr.

Fifth place was Savings Bank of Mendocino County with Brady Wildberger, Jason Korta, Erin Powis and Tim King making up that team. Sixth place went to North American Organics with Scott Johnson, Steve Johnson, Scott Mell and Greig Genet.
