Tom Mcclintock must go!

-

To the Editor:

Our representative's job is to understand the needs of our district and represent those needs in Congress. How well has Tom Mcclintock represented us?

Wildfires threaten our homes and our lives. Home insurance costs have skyrocketed. Wildfires often start on federal land where trees and underbrush are overgrown. Has Mcclintock led the way to reduce wildfire risk? No. He's happy to rail against environmental restrictions, but everyone knows that cutting fire breaks and clearing brush requires funding. Federal funding would create jobs and put our loggers back to work, but Mcclintock is opposed.

Our high-speed internet and cell phone service is spotty. High-speed internet will attract new businesses, enable more people to live here and work from home, and educate our kids. Without internet, our kids will be left behind. Congress funded rural electrification in the 1950s and has funded rural highspeed internet now, but Mcclintock has refused to accept those funds for our district.

Mcclintock's voted to repeal affordable health care and coverage for preexisting conditions over a dozen times. He's proposed nothing to replace it. Drug prices are high because a Bushera bill prevents Medicare from negotiating with drug companies for fair prices. Congress can change this, but Mcclintock's opposed.

Brynne Kennedy is running for Congress to replace Mcclintock. She's a businesswoman who understands our economy and what our small businesses face. She's a fiscal conservative who will make sure that our tax dollars are necessary and well-spent. She understands how important fire safety, high-speed internet and affordable healthcare are to our district and will push hard in Congress to make them happen.

Brynne Kennedy is focused on our district and will work for us. Mcclintock is sponsored by corporate PACS from outside our district and works for them. Vote for Brynne Kennedy for Congress. Marvin Keshner
