The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

9:22 a.m., theft — A woman said she went to jump start a dead battery on the car she left parked in a Guzzi Lane lot, but the car was gone.

12:29. p.m., theft — A Greenley Road woman said her caregiver stole money, a laptop, Wii game, video recorder and other items and opened a credit card in her name.

1:12 p.m., obstructin­g justice/resist officer — A person said a woman bothered people and caused a disturbanc­e in a park on South Washington Street.

1:24 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A person argued with customers at a business on South Washington Street.

2:10 p.m., theft — A person at a business said that about $1,000 worth of merchandis­e was stolen and they had photos of the suspects and their vehicle.

4:25 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A man followed a woman and her children around in a store and got in the same check out lane with them.

5:32 p.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — A person said a man entered a Sylva Lane business through a cut window screen.

9:08 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A person said neighbors blasted a stereo with synthesize­d music on North Stewart Street.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

2:19 a.m., Sonora — A Geraldine Circle man said his wife was “drunk and tearing up the house.”

4:23 a.m., Big Oak Flat — A man said people tried to steal his vehicle, which was parked in his lot on Highway 120.

10:45 a.m., Columbia — A theft occurred at an apartment on State Street.

2:33 p.m., La Grange — A theft occurred after a home was rented out on AIRBNB on Pino Court.

2:43 p.m., Sonora — Four cases of Red Bull were taken from a Mono Way business.

6:19 p.m. Jamestown — A fight occurred at a business on Main Street.

6:21 p.m., Columbia — Six gunshots were heard on Quarry Road.

THURSDAY

2:20 a.m., Sonora — Dianne Jennifer Falasco, 43, of the 1000 block of Oregon Drive, Merced, was booked following an arrest on Highway 49.

3:58 p.m., Long Barn — Jonathan Alvin Schrader, 34, of the 10000 block of Preston Lane, Jamestown was booked following an arrest on Highway 108.

Felony bookings: THURSDAY

12:49 a.m., Twain Harte — Jody Elizabeth Jesperson, 42, of the 10000 block of Jim Brady Road, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury and misdemeano­r driving under the influence following an arrest on the 23000 block of Tuolumne Drive.

1:31 a.m., Angels Camp — Phillip Lee Smail, Jr., 28, of the 1000 block of Main Street, Angels Camp, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, being a prohibited person/ addict charged w/felony in possession/control of a firearm, ammunition, etc. following an arrest at his home.

CALAVERAS COUNTY THURSDAY

8:29 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — A woman disturbed customers at a business on Highway 49.

8:33 a.m., Arnold — Fraud occurred on Chamonix Drive.

1:32 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A woman bothered customers at a business on Highway 26.

2:05 p.m. Mokelumne Hill — A trespass occurred on Doster Road.

2:50 p.m., Douglas Flat — David Joseph Brown, 68 of the 22000 block of Upper Quail Mine Road, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft and possession of a stolen vehicle/vessel following an arrest on Ansil Davis Road.
