Happy Thanksgiving

To the Editor:

The time to be thankful for living in the greatest country in the world is here again. While liberal politicians and mainstream media continue to demonize it. They quarantined us, depleted our finances, and attempted to destroy our spirit. They removed our constitutional right to practice our religions. Their weapon of choice is fear mongering. We have been told to wear masks and social distance, which we have done. Yet, all we hear about every day is how COVID is spreading. The science tells us that shutdowns are ineffective, and testing is inconsistent. Yet, they continue to do it. The science tells us 99% or more survive, but that fact is not talked about because it takes away their fear mongering powers. There is real scientific research available that disputes the use of masks. However, it is suppressed. Stop and think for a minute. All of the approaches being utilized have resulted in the increased spread of the virus. Isn't it obvious they got it wrong? Yet, we are told to keep doing the same things. Crazy? In the meantime, our politicians and their mainstream media comrades get their hair done, go boating, have parties, enjoy fine dining, and take trips to Hawaii. Now, we are being told to avoid our families on Thanksgiving. Pennsylvania's governor dictated that no more than 4 to 6 people gather for Thanksgiving, but up to 40 people can attend a funeral. One of my sisters and her family is having a wake for the turkey. Our family will do as we always have done. If we are sick, have preexisting conditions, or are fearful of COVID, we stay home. Please be safe, be kind, and use your common sense. However, do not allow fear to take away another person's right to choose. Have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving. Thomas Neiderer
