Sarah Elizabeth (Neuman Coakley) Henson

Lifelong Sonora resident and former UPS worker Sarah Elizabeth (Neuman Coakley) Henson passed away on Dec. 6 in San Francisco, due to a blood disorder. She was 44.

Sarah was a proud sixthgener­ation Tuolumne County native. She graduated from Sonora High in 1994 and was Mother Lode Roundup Queen 1997-1998. She was passionate about helping and volunteeri­ng in her community, especially her children’s activities. She held many important roles in her life including FFA member, 4-H member, Girl Scout leader, youth softball coach, secretary for the Junior Cats Football & Cheer program and president of the Columbia Elementary School PTA. She took pride in helping her children and others raise animals for the Mother Lode Fair.

Sarah will be remembered for her honesty and giving heart by all her many friends and family.

She is survived by her children, Hayley, Nikole, Kennedy and Jace Henson, all of Sonora; her fiance Bill Mierop and family, of Sonora; father of her children Brian Henson and family, of Sonora; parents Linda (Fraser) and Randy Rodriguez, of Sonora, Daryl Neuman, of Deer Island, Oregon, and Bill Coakley, of Groveland; brother KC Coakley and his girlfriend, Melissa Carr, of Columbia; uncles David Fraser Jr., of Stent, Larry Proctor, of Fallon, Nevada, and Danny Proctor, of Jamestown; aunt Laurie (Fraser) and Rob Lyons, of Twain Harte; grandmothe­r Norie Fraser, of Sonora; cousins Aida and David Rogers, Davey and Jillian Fraser, all of Jamestown, Danielle and Jason Helm, Kayla and Adam Pfeifer, all of Sonora, Katie and Rory Pierce, of Wilton, Elaine and Cory Hails, of Folsom, Dalton Lyons, of Twain Harte, Chris and Tom Proctor, Elisa Proctor, of Sacramento, and Vincent and Joseph Lazzeroni, of the Bay Area; and her best friend, Megan Anderson, and family. She was preceded in death by her grandfathe­r, Dave Fraser Sr,. and her aunt, Gloria Fraser.
