The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

12:46 a.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A woman on Mono Way heard a man and a woman fighting over whether the man should drive after drinking. An officer advised them of the complaint and to not drive anywhere that evening.

7:01 a.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — Someone complained about noise from a leaf blower at 6:30 a.m., and an officer advised workers to start their work until 7 a.m. to be in compliance with constructi­on noise times per SMC code.

7:31 a.m., graffiti — The men's room was graffitied at Rotary Park on Woods Creek Drive.

8:33 a.m., towed vehicle — Someone with a multicolor­ed, spray-painted Jeep Liberty rummaged through a blue Dodge Dakota and took out a red wagon on South Shepherd Street.

10:02 a.m., suspicious circumstan­ces — Someone said a vehicle's motor was running for 30 minutes with no one around on South Stewart Street. The vehicle's owner was located at his downtown business and advised.

12:39 p.m., trespass/loiter — A man said he found a sleeping bag and a camp behind a business on South Washington Street. An officer responded but the property was gone on arrival.

2:30 p.m., trespass/loiter — Someone said a man slept behind a business on Stockton Road and wanted them to move along. An officer advised the man of the complaint and he gathered his belongings and left.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

1:30 a.m., Twain Harte — The California Highway Patrol requested assistance finding a vehicle that was reported traveling eastbound on Highway 108 going more than 100 mph.

9:29 a.m., theft — A Crystal Falls Drive resident said a pulse oximeter was stolen from a mailbox.

10:05 a.m., Jamestown — A black car with no hood and the bumper hanging off was driving into oncoming traffic on Seco Street.

10:22 a.m., Jamestown — A Willow Street woman said a phone scammer took $40,000 from her account. She was told to call her bank.

12:24 p.m., Jamestown — A driver in a silver car was seen going through a stoplight and chasing a “greenish” Jeep.

2:08 p.m., Soulsbyvil­le — Vehicles were egged on Soulsbyvil­le Road.

2:18 p.m., Sonora — A woman threw a small dog into her car, then hit it and threw it in the back seat at a Mono Way shopping center. When confronted, the woman said she didn't have a license either, “so go ahead and call the cops,” then left quickly and almost hit several parked cars.

4:24 p.m., Sonora — Several chainsaws and possible stolen property were found in a stolen trailer that was recovered on Northridge Road.

5:53 p.m., East Sonora — An employee of a Mono Way business said her dog stroller was stolen from in front of the business.

1:50 a.m., Twain Harte — Adeteju Ellamarie Thompson, 23, of the 2300 block of Station Road, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 east of Twain Harte Drive.

1:10 a.m., Sonora — Annalisa Puaolena Hanato, 24, of an unknown address, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of taking a vehicle without owner's consent/vehicle theft, theft of extortion of a motor vehicle, bringing alcohol/drugs/etc. Into prison or jail and misdemeano­rs possession of controlled substance parapherna­lia, possession of a narcotic controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and four warrants after an arrest on the 18000 block of Highway 108.

3:55 p.m., Sonora — Benjamin Vagara Tarango, 53, of the 14000 block of Northridge Road, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of receiving known stolen property, theft of extortion of a motor vehicle and misdemeano­r possession of controlled substance parapherna­lia after an arrest at his home.

WEDNESDAY

7:50 a.m., Valley Springs — A theft occurred on Freedom Way.

9:49 a.m., Campo Seco — Vandalism occurred on Old Fogie Way.

11:24 a.m., West Point — A theft occurred on Snead Road.

2:08 p.m., Valley Springs — A trespass occurred on Jean Street.

3:00 p.m., West Point — A theft occurred on Snead Road.

6:42 p.m., West Point — Someone said there were intruders on the property on Lily Gap Road.

6:47 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone heard shooting on Hogan Dam Road. It was quiet upon the arrival of a deputy.

7:38 p.m., San Andreas — A disturbanc­e occurred on Main Street.

11:45 p.m., Murphys — Alissa Jean Hartwig, 41, of the 1300 block of Cedar Vista Drive, Murphys, was booked after an arrest on Highway 4.

2:07 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Roland Ted Retherford, of the 9000 block of Cave City Road, was booked on suspicion of two counts of possession of a stolen vehicle and a misdemeano­r charge of possession of controlled substance parapherna­lia after an arrest on Doster Road.
