TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY `V

2:29 a.m., theft — Someone punched a hole in a fuel tank underneath a county vehicle in an attempt to siphon gas on Morning Star Drive.

11:26 a.m., animal complaints — A friendly black pit bull in a bow tie and wearing a tracker entered traffic on South Washington Street.

11:41 a.m., any civil problem — A woman said she sold a vehicle and signed a release of liability but the buyer did not complete the payments. The buyer reported the vehicle as stolen.

Noon, trespass/loiter — A bearded gray-haired man in glasses and a brown jacket with multiple bags made lewd comments to people entering a business on Mono Way.

12:54 p.m., theft — Someone saw a post on social media and recognized the people stealing merchandis­e from a store as being on county probation. An officer spoke to the store manager who declined to press charges and requested that the people be trespassed if they returned to the store on South Washington Street.

1:24 p.m., trespass/loiter — A man said people camped on his property on Snell Street and West Bonanza Road.

3:22 p.m., hazardous situation — Someone said the railroad crossing on South Washington Street was flashing and the arms were not down. A second person said the arms were down but one arm was stuck causing a hazard.

8:07 p.m., trespass/loiter

— A man with a gray beard stayed in a business on Mono Way all day and harassed female employees. An officer told him to leave the area.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

7:05 a.m., Sonora — A Hess Avenue business was burglarize­d.

8:05 a.m., Sonora — A man slept behind a business on Mono Way and became aggressive when asked to leave.

12:46 p.m., Groveland — A horse trailer was burglarize­d on Boitano Road.

1:52 p.m., Jamestown — Several thefts were reported at apartments on Preston Lane.

2:42 p.m., Groveland — Someone said a neighbor dumped green waste in his yard.

3:27 p.m., Sonora — People fought on Kincaid Flat Road, and an arrest was made.

3:53 p.m., Sonora — A pedestrian stop on Greenley Avenue resulted in arrest.

10:19 p.m., Soulsbyvil­le — Someone heard a loud bang, saw a bright flash and a truck leave the area dragging something behind it on Soulsbyvil­le Road.

9:26 a.m., tuolumne — Lawrence Been blossom, 35, of the 19000 block of Serrano Road, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Tuolumne Road North.

10:57 p.m., Soulsbyvil­le — Dylan Frances Vandermart­in, 27, of the 20000 block of Moyle Drive, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Soulsbyvil­le Road at Draper Mine Road. He was also booked for suspicion of misdemeano­r hit and run causing property damage.

4:41 p.m., Sonora — John Allan Hearther, 57, of the 13000 block of Kinkaid Flat, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent after an arrest at his home.

CALAVERAS COUNTY THURSDAY

2:10 a.m., Murphys — A trespass resulted in an arrest on Sheep Ranch Road.

10:46 a.m., Avery — A Moran Road property was burglarize­d..

1:16 p.m., Valley Springs — A car was parked at a closed campground for several days.

5:02 p.m., Valley Springs — A battery was stolen on Garner Place.

10:37 p.m., Valley Springs — Batteries were taken from a vehicle inside of a garage on Garner Place.

2:57 p.m., Murphys — Jared Andrew Burns, 46, of the 100 block of Fieldstone Drive, Murphys, was booked after an arrest on Sheep Ranch Road.

7:53 p.m., Angels Camp —Kyle Alexander Rooks, 25, of the 21000 block of Phoenix Lake Drive, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant after an arrest on Bayer Street.
